ATTORNEY PROFILES

Julio Loza is a registered patent attorney and represents clients ranging from startup ventures to Fortune 500 corporations in all aspects of intellectual property counseling and protection. He works closely with sole inventors and in-house counsel to develop effective intellectual property strategies to meet each client's needs and expectations. Julio has broad experience in all aspects of patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright protection and enforcement as well as technology licensing and Internet law.

Julio graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he also served as an adjunct professor of intellectual property law. He earned his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, and has work experience as a software developer and hardware designer. His technical expertise includes wireless communications, mobile devices, microprocessors, memory devices, software, encryption schemes, and network architectures.
 

Christina S. Loza has a breadth of experience working for a large firm and as in-house intellectual property counsel. Given Tina’s experience, she is adept at working on an intense case load as well as being sensitive to the needs and budget of small and mid-sized business that are growing and investing in their intellectual property portfolios. Tina is dedicated to providing high-quality services and personalized attention to her clients.

Tina has experience in all areas of intellectual property law including trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, domain name disputes, internet law, eBay dispute resolution, as well as, IP licensing, counseling, and litigation.

Tina graduated from Loyola Law School and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in May of 1998 from Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Tina is admitted to practice before all state courts in the State of California, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Central Districts of California. She is also a registered Patent Attorney and a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the President-Elect for the National Association of Women Business Owners - Inland Empire Chapter (

Heidi Eisenhut began her career in intellectual property as a Patent Examiner in the electrical arts at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where she gained invaluable experience and insight into the patent process. After leaving the USPTO, Heidi became a registered patent attorney and her experience as a Patent Examiner enables her to provide her clients with a rare insight into the inner workings of the USPTO. She has represented clients ranging from individual inventors to emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 companies in a broad range of technical disciplines, including computer software/hardware, communication systems, cable modems, memory devices business methods, embedded systems, mechanical devices and electro-mechanical devices, as well as trademark and copyright prosecution.

Heidi graduated from Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law and received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University Pomona. She worked as an electrical engineer for the Ballistic Missiles Division of TRW in San Bernardino, California working with guidance systems of ballistic missiles.

Heidi is admitted to the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of California, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.

Shelley M. Cobos is a registered patent attorney and focuses her practice on intellectual property matters. She has represented clients ranging from individual inventors to emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 companies and has developed close relationships with her clients by being responsive and keeping her clients informed of intellectual property matters affecting their businesses.

Shelley uses her combined education in chemistry and biology to prosecute patents in the fields of chemistry, biology and the mechanical arts with an emphasis on medical devices, cardiovascular treatments and semiconductor processes. In addition to prosecuting utility and design patents, she also has experience in prior art analyses, drafting opinion letters and assessing patent portfolios for businesses. She also has experience in trademark prosecution, including the procurement of trademarks both national and foreign. In her former practice, she gained substantial experience in intellectual property litigation which has provided her with invaluable insight in anticipating potential problems when drafting patent applications. Her intellectual property litigation experience includes patent and trademark infringement matters as well as unfair competition, business torts and licensing disputes.

Shelley graduated from UCLA School of Law where she was a member of the UCLA Law Review and the UCLAW Veterans Society. She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both biological sciences and chemistry from the University of California, Irvine. Shelley is admitted to the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Razmig H. Messerian is a registered Patent Attorney and has prosecuted patents across a wide range of technologies before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Tyler J. Barrett is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in many areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. Tyler works with all sizes of companies from start-up ventures to fortune 500 to maximize their intellectual property protection and minimize risks of infringement. Tyler has experience counseling and planning, conducting patentability and non-infringement analysis, and preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications for a wide range of technology areas, including electrical and electronics, semiconductor design and fabrication, computers, software, wireless communications, medical devices, gas and oil drilling technologies, mechanical and aerospace, and materials science.

Tyler received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Minor in Electronics Engineering Technology from Weber State University. As an entrepreneur and engineer, Tyler co-founded an electronic control systems company; constructing and prototyping new lighting and security systems for residential and industrial applications. Tyler was also an engineer in the medical device industry, working in research and development and in manufacturing at Bard Access Systems, a division of C.R. Bard.

Tyler is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Utah State Bar. Tyler was recognized in 2010 as one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine.

Michael Fedrick is an intellectual property attorney with 19 years of experience securing patent and trademark protection worldwide for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He has a strong background supporting entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and service professionals in industries ranging from biotechnology to software.

Michael works with clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. A frequent speaker, he lectures on matters involving all aspects of intellectual property law to students and members of the business community.
Michael graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in the Biological Sciences, and from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He is past president of the San Gabriel Valley Bar Association, has served on committees of the International Trademark Association, and currently serves on the marketing committee of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.

Michael previously served as counsel for the biopharmaceutical business of Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where he was responsible for intellectual property matters relating to product lines with sales in excess of $1 billion. While there, he spearheaded the patent and trademark work for a new pharmaceutical product from inception through FDA approval.
